In the Community
Our founders led the way
Since the late 1930's, our founders, Van Duyn Dodge and Morrie Cox, placed a priority on leading and providing financial support to a range of community initiatives in San Francisco. Mr. Dodge was a co-founder of Coro, a fellowship program "of educational discovery to prepare citizen leaders." Among his philanthropic roles, Mr. Cox was a leader of Community Chest, which later became the United Way Bay Area in California.
As our firm has grown, so have our opportunities to serve the community at a local and global level. We focus our support on organizations helping people in need and providing educational opportunities for deserving youth, many first generation college bound. We also make gifts to organizations focused on social justice initiatives or those providing critical health care services globally.
More than 160 non-profit organizations received our hands-on support and donations in 2023.
We make it easy for employees to participate in community service. We work with local organizations throughout the year to identify and promote hands-on volunteering events. In addition to our hands-on support, we've made significant annual donations to non-profits and offer a generous corporate matching gift program for employees to multiply the impact of their personal donations.
