Once you have reviewed the Dodge & Cox Funds’ Prospectus, it’s easy to open an account.
Invest online now

Individual investors can follow the link below to open a new regular account (with the exception of personal trusts), or to open a new IRA. For IRA transfers and rollovers, corporate accounts or personal trusts, please see “Invest Through the Mail” below.

Existing shareholders should login to Account Access in order to add Fund accounts.

You will need to have accessible:

  • Your Social Security Number
  • Your bank’s ACH routing number and account number
  • Your residential address
  • Your email address
  • The minimum investment amount ($2,500.00 per regular Fund account, or $1,000.00 per IRA Fund account).
  • Minor’s Social Security Number (for a custodial account for a minor, UGMA/UTMA)

 

Invest Through The Mail

Open a regular Dodge & Cox Funds Account

  1. Review the Funds’ prospectus and/or summary prospectus for the Fund(s) of interest. The prospectus and/or summary prospectus are available to be downloaded or mailed from the Prospectuses & Reports webpage.
  2. Print out and complete the Funds’ Account Application form.
  3. Mail the completed application form, along with a check made payable to Dodge & Cox Funds, to one of the below mailing addresses. The minimum investment amount is $2,500 per Fund.
  4. Upon receipt of a completed account application and investment, the Funds will open your new account and mail you a confirmation statement.

Open a Dodge & Cox Funds IRA

  1. Review the Funds’ prospectus and/or summary prospectus for the Fund(s) of interest. The prospectus and/or summary prospectus are available to be downloaded or mailed from the Prospectuses & Reports webpage.
  2. Download the Funds’ IRA Information Kit containing the IRA custodial agreement and disclosure document and the custodian’s privacy policy.
  3. Print out and complete the Funds’ IRA Application form.
  4. If you would like to fund the new IRA by transferring assets from an IRA with another custodian firm, or by rollover of assets from a retirement plan, print out and complete the IRA Transfer of Assets Form.
  5. Mail the completed application form, along with either a check made payable to Dodge & Cox Funds representing an IRA contribution or indirect rollover amount, or with a completed IRA Transfer of Assets Form, to one of the below mailing addresses. The minimum investment amount for an IRA is $1,000 per Fund.
  6. Upon receipt of a completed account application and investment amount (either a contribution or indirect rollover check, or a transfer of assets or rollover check from a financial institution,) the Funds will open your new IRA and mail you a confirmation statement.
